The monarch butterfly is one of the most easily recognized butterflies in New Jersey. Every fall, this butterfly undertakes an annual migration to the mountains of central Mexico. As they fly south, the monarchs will often stop along the Jersey Shore to feed and rest. Find out more about the life history of Monarch Butterflies, what they eat and their fascinating migrations.
